SOLUTION: The ink jet recording element comprising a support for carrying an image recording layer containing a binder and a polymer mordant, the overall density of a charged polymer bonding site provided by the layer exceeds 3×1026/m3, the density of a salt for providing an opposite charge to the charge of the site in the layer is less than 5.8×1026 charge/m3, and the salt has a molecular weight of less than 10,000 g/mol. |
