PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective and stable promoting preparation for the production of a catalase of dermal fibroblasts, and further provide a skin preparation for external use enhancing the hydrogen peroxideeliminating capacity of the dermal fibroblasts, effective for the prevention and amelioration of ageing symptoms of the skin and stable in quality. SOLUTION: This catalase production-promoting preparation is obtained by using a fraction eluted by a 50 vol.% aqueous ethanol solution on fractionating an extract of a flaxseed with a polar solvent, with an adsorption resin chromatography made of a styrene polymer by using an ethanol-water mixed solvent, as it is or further performing concentration, purification, etc., or further incorporating it in a carrier. Further by incorporating 1 kind or >=2 kinds of the above catalase production-promoting preparation in a base preparation for an external agent, the skin preparation for external use is obtained. As the extracting solvent, 50 vol.% aqueous ethanol solution is preferable. |
