PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct the stable comfortable air conditioning control without having a bad influence on propulsion of a vehicle by controlling a blower to compensate for a shortage of air conditioning capability when the power of a compressor is determined to be limited. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle has a blower and an interior heat exchanger in a duct, and includes a variable displacement compressor connected to the interior heat exchanger by a refrigerant pipe and capable of varying the discharge quantity of a refrigerant to be compressed, a vapor compressor and/or a vapor compression heat pump cycle having a capacity control means for controlling the discharge rate, and an air blowing rate regulating means for regulating the air blow. The air conditioner includes a power limit value computing means for computing the limit value of supply power of the air conditioner side from a prime mover for vehicle propulsion, and blow rate of a blower computing means for computing the air blow rate of the blower in the case of limiting the power of the air conditioner side and in the case of no limit, respectively, according to the power limit value computed by the power limit value computing means. At least the information on the air blow rate computed by the blow rate computing means is used for controlling the compressor. |
