PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce assembling time of an electric motor, and to reduce noise generated between a pinion and a ring gear. SOLUTION: This electric motor is provided with a shaft 8 for forming a pinion 9 in one tip part, two ball bearings 4a, 4b for rotatably supporting the shaft 8 and bearing brackets 5, 6 having storage parts 5a, 6a for storing the ball bearings 4a, 4b, the ball bearing 4a for supporting the pinion 9 side shaft 8 is pressed on and fitted, another one ball bearing 4b is fitted by clearance fit, the pressed-in/fitted ball bearing 4a is fixed to the storage part 5a so as not to move in the thrust direction, and the ball bearing 4b fitted by clearance fit is arranger by imparting a preload by a washer 16 arranged on a side surface of the ball bearing 4b and a bottom surface of the storage part 6a.
