PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine capable of reducing vibration and noise caused by a change in rigidity. SOLUTION: In this scroll-type fluid machine, a fixed scroll and a turning scroll 2 are meshed with each other by a spiral fixed lap and a spiral turning lap to turn the turning scroll 2 without rotating, and gas is compressed. Cutout parts 23, 25 having diagonal sides are provided near the scroll starting point including the scroll contact starting point on the outermost peripheral part in either the fixed scroll or the turning scroll, and a cutout part is provided near the scroll end point including the scroll contact end point on the innermost peripheral part. The set rotation angle rangeθ1 in which the relief part or the cutout part on the outermost peripheral part is provided and the set rotation angle rangeθ2 in which the relief part or the cutout part on the innermost peripheral part is provided are set so as to be partially overlapped.
