PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water treating apparatus which is small and inexpensive and decreases the exchange frequencies of adsorbent materials. SOLUTION: This water treating apparatus consists of an ozone dissolving vessel 1 which forms ozonized water by dissolving gaseous ozone 3 into water 2 to be treated, an ozone separating vessel 7 which separates the non-dissolved gaseous ozone mixed with the ozonized water sent from the ozone dissolving vessel and an ozone reaction vessel 10 which forms the ozone treated water by cleaning the water to be treated. The ozone reaction vessel is constituted by using inorganic materials, for example, alumina ceramics, for the adsorbent materials 11 therein. The ozone separation vessel is formed to a double cylindrical shape constituted by inserting the ozone reaction vessel into the vessel and to such form that the ozonized water is supplied into the internally disposed ozone reaction vessel from its lower part and is made to flow over into the ozone separation vessel.
