PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the classification precision of an air classifier by improving a raw material supply system for supplying to a raw material supply nozzle. SOLUTION: In an air classifier for classifying a raw material M containing powder particles of different sizes by particle size by ejecting the raw material M toward a classifying air current F0, the raw material M supplied from a raw material supply apparatus 3, while being introduced into a raw material supply air current F1 to be conveyed, is separated by particle size by a raw material separation apparatus 2 and supplied to the raw material supply nozzle 27, and the separated raw material M is ejected to the air current F0 by the nozzle 27. The turbulence of respective flows of the coarse particles and the fine particles in a classification chamber can be prevented to improve the classification precision of the raw material M.
