发明名称 EXPANDABLE METHYL METHACRYLATE RESIN PARTICLES AND FOAMED MOLDED ARTICLE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide expandable resin particles which show good foaming characteristics even if they are composed of a high mol.wt. resin with a polystyrene-converted weight average mol.wt. exceeding 150,000, which have a good property for holding an easily volatilizable foaming agent, and which provide a molded article with a large strength. SOLUTION: These expandable methyl methacrylate resin particles are obtained by suspension polymerization of a methyl methacrylate monomer. They contain an easily volatilizable foaming agent. The resin has a polydispersity (Mw/Mn, where Mw is a weight average mol.wt. and Mn is a number average mol.wt.) of >=3.0 and <=7.0, which is determined from the polystyrene-converted mol.wt. of the resin. A foamed molded article can be manufactured from the particles.
