PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading device easy to mount on a building body. SOLUTION: A shading device has a shading unit 12 which consists of a winding pipe 8 mounted between right and left mounting brackets 1, a front frame 10 mounted on the right and let mounting brackets 1 via an arm 9 and a tent 11 wound on the winding pipe and connected to the front frame, wherein engaged portions 71 are formed on a base plate 13 mounted on a building body and engagement portions 22 of the mounting brackets 1 are temporarily fixed in engagement with the engaged portions 71 and then finally fixed thereto so that the mounting brackets 1 can be mounted on the building body.
