PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underfloor ventilation method and an underfloor ventilation structure capable of underfloor ventilation without providing a ventilation opening in a continuous footing rise part. SOLUTION: In the underfloor ventilation method of a building using the continuous foundation of the continuous footing B or the like, underfloor ventilation is performed without providing a ventilation opening on the rise part of the continuous footing B using a sill cover 1 having venting. In the underfloor ventilation structure K of the building using the continuous foundation of the continuous footing B or the like, for instance, the sill cover 1 is constituted of an inner cover 10 and an outer cover 20, an air flow passage 2 communicating with an under-floor from the outside is formed therebetween, the sill cover 1 has venting, and the underfloor ventilation is performed without providing the ventilation opening on the rise part of the continuous footing B.
