PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw-in type steel pipe pile of low vibration and low noise allowing non-earth-removal execution, capable of expanding a screwed-in type steel pipe pile applying range to allow large tip supporting force up to a large-diametric steel pipe pile, capable of enhancing penetratability for a diameter-enlarged upper steel pipe by a pipe jacking blade provided in an outer wall face of the upper steel pipe or in an upper outer wall face of a lower steel pipe, capable of providing large supporting force, and reduced in a manufacturing cost for the diameter-enlarged part, and a construction method threfor. SOLUTION: This pile has the lower steel pipe 2 having at least the tip part or the blade 10 in the vicinity thereof, the upper steel pipe 3 having a diameter larger than that of the lower steel pipe 2, and a joining member 20 for joining the upper and lower steel pipes 2, 3, and a blade 15 is provided on the outer wall face of the upper steel pipe 3.
