PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet having a simple cooling device, giving freshness and a comfortable feeling when worn, by vaporizing the sweat perspired at a high tempera ture, or the like, with a relatively simple device so that heat of the vaporization effectively generates cooling power to eliminate sultriness at the high temperature and annoyance of wiping the sweat at the same time in a two-bird-one-stone manner. SOLUTION: This helmet having the simple cooling device is made by vertically attaching airway-forming materials 5 to the inside all around of a helmet strap 2 so as to keep a constant distance to the scalp 3, and further forming an air cavity which is made by combining a top peripheral edge of the strap 2 and a periphery of an outlet 7 of a forced-draft blower 6 stationed inside the helmet with a wind- shielding material 8, so that the wind blown from the blower 6 does not pass through anywhere besides a forced-draft airway 4. The wind passes in great force through the airway 4 so as to graze along the scalp 3, and therefore a fresh feeling is effectively obtained by temperature-falling action of the wind velocity. Simultaneously, the sweat generated at the high temperature is vaporized by the forced-draft wind so that the heat of vaporization effectively generated the cooling power. Thus, the helmet gives the freshness and the comfortable feeling of wearing without the sultriness and the annoyance of wiping the sweat, even when worn at the high temperature, or the like.
