PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a sheet feeding device by actuating selectively a sheet feeding means and a moving means to move sheet stacking means using one driving source. SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device 600 is equipped with a plurality of sheet stacking means 1a, 1b, 1c on which sheets are stacked, a sheet feeding means 61 to send out the sheets stacked, a moving means 62 to move those stacking means selectively to the position where the sheet feed can be made by the sheet feeding means, and a driving force transmission changeover means to transmit the driving force of one driving source selectively to the sheet feeding means and moving means.
