PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and highly reliable ink jet head in which erroneous operation is reduced. SOLUTION: A large number of piezoelectric barrier walls 3, arranged substantially in parallel through an ink channel, and hole parts 2 are formed in a head substrate 1 and a driver IC6 provided, on the upper surface thereof, with a logic circuit for bending/deforming the piezoelectric barrier walls 3 selectively is buried in the hole part 2. Ink flows on the driver IC6 and enters between the piezoelectric barrier walls 3-3 and then a part of the ink is ejected in the direction orthogonal to the arranging direction of the piezoelectric barrier walls 3 through bending thereof thus performing printing.
