PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the problems of greatly increased manufacturing costs and the necessity of a large area and high space for installation because a type of the top and bottom clamping of the dies in the conventional finishing device for testing dies causes the necessity of a long, thick frame in the longitudinal direction such as a large-sized press machine as well as the use of a large-scale die plate reverse system, a large-sized hydraulic cylinder or the like. SOLUTION: A piston rod 53 of a hydraulic cylinder 51 is protruded to apply a driving force of pushing down die plate fitting bases 43, 45, and a piston rod 69 of a hydraulic cylinder 67 is protruded to press back side lower end parts of the die plate fitting bases 43, 45. The die plate fitting bases 43, 45, thereby, are set in positions that upper end parts face obliquely above in turning the die face up and, moreover, in generally horizontal position to allow a working posture in turning the die face up.
