PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cost reduction in manufacture of a hollow kneading member in a continuous kneading machine provided with heating or cooling function. SOLUTION: A continuous kneading machine wherein a pair of agitating means 5 are arranged in parallel in a casing 1 and a heating medium c can be fed and discharged in hollow parts of the agitating means 5 and a substance a to be treated is fed into the casing 1 from a feeding hole on one end of the above described casing 1 and is heated while it is kneaded by the above described agitating means 5 and the kneaded substance b to be treated is discharged from an discharge hole on another end of the casing 1 is provided. In the hollow kneading member 6 of the agitating means 5, a plurality of paddle parts 16 each with an elliptical or an approximately triangular crossection are integrally formed by changing their fitting angles and a feeding screw 18 is provided on the feeding hole 12 side. In addition, short shafts 7 and 8 are respectively provided on both ends of the agitating means 5 and both of the short shafts 7 and 8 are freely rotatably supported on a casing 1 and one short shaft 8 is connected with the rotating means and another shaft 7 is made hollow and a heating medium can be fed and discharged to feed and discharge the heating medium c into the kneading member 6.
