PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide styrene/acrylonitrile (hereinafter 'SAN') resin compositions with improved impact resistance and optical transmission, and articles to be produced therefrom. SOLUTION: The SAN resin compositions comprise (I) 70-99 pts. SAM resin having a refractive index of 1.56-1.58 and (II) a core/shell modifier having a refractive index of 1.56-1.58. The core/shell modifier has, e.g. (A) a core portion containing units derived from styrene, butadiene, and divinylbenzene, respectively, (B) an intermediate stage containing units derived from styrene, and (C) an outer shell containing units derived from hydroxyethyl methacrylate, styrene, and divinylbenzene, respectively.
