PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide benzothiophene, benzofuran and indole compounds having therapeutic activities in the field of fibrinolysis and thrombosis because the compounds have properties for inhibiting the activities of PAI-1. SOLUTION: The benzothiophene, benzofuran and indole compounds are the compounds represented by formula (I) [wherein, X is O or the like; Y is O or the like; T is N or the like; A is a single bond or the like; W is hydroxy or the like; U1 is O or the like; V1 is an arylene or the like; U2 is a single bond or the like; V2 is an aryl or the like; Ra to Rc are each H or the like; R1 is a substituted aryl or the like; and R2 is H or the like], isomers thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable additional salts of an acid or a base. A method for producing the compounds, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the compounds as active ingredients are also provided.
