End stops for individual sliding clasp fastener - prepd from continuous thermoplastic fastener link strands

A section of the continuous thermoplastic coupling links is punched out between the chain stitched seams at a point between the end of one fastener length and the beginning of the next one. The remaining parts of the links held by the chain stitched seams and several links at the end of the fastener are then melted together to form the end stop after leaving an intermediate space with at least two fastened links which are not melted to improve the lateral strength of the fastener.
