PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb a change of air pressure in a housing even when a bellows of a steering mechanism breaks for preventing suction of water and dust from outside into the housing. SOLUTION: This electric steering gear has a conductor insertion hole 4a wherethrough a conductor 6 connected to a torque sensor 5 and a control part 8 controlling a drive of a motor 7 for steering assistance is inserted, and it is provided with the housing 4 housing the torque sensor 5 and a cover body 28 closing an open end to an outside of the conductor insertion hole 4a. A flexible cover 29 with flexibility sealing a space between a circumferential face of the conductor insertion hole 4a and the conductor 6 is provided in an inside of the cover body 28. When the air pressure changes inside the housing 4 by atmospheric temperature or self heat generation of the motor 7, the flexible cover 29 is deflected by elastic deformation for absorbing the change of the air pressure. |
