PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic screw fastener capable of screw fastening with torque control after completion of forming a female thread in fastening a tapping screw. SOLUTION: This invention is provided with a control unit 4 recording a tapping electric current amount corresponding to a torque generated during a tapping screw is forming a female thread, a female thread forming rotation angle required for the tapping screw to form the female thread, and a fastening electric current amount corresponding to a tapping screw fastening torque, and detecting an electric current of a motor 2 from a start of fastening the tapping screw, and driving and rotating the motor 2 until a rotation angle detected by an encoder reaches a female thread forming rotation angle when the electric current of the motor 2 reaches the tapping electric current amount, and then detecting the electric current of the motor 2 and driving the motor 2 until the electric current of the motor 2 reaches the fastening electric current amount.
