PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver brazing filler metal which is wide in the working temperature range from the viewpoints of the melting point and strength, and is good workability in a cadmium-free indium-containing silver brazing filler metal for joining cemented carbide. SOLUTION: In this silver brazing filler metal for joining cemented carbide composed of silver, copper, zinc, indium, nickel and manganese, the indium content is controlled to 2.5 to 3.5 wt.%, where, as the contents of the constituting elements other than indium, preferably, 25 to 50 wt.% silver, 15 to 40 wt.% copper, 20 to 40 wt.% zinc, 0.5 to 7.0 wt.% nickel and 0.5 to 2.0 wt.% manganese are controlled.
