PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush of which the brush section does not come into contact with the desk when being placed on a desk, also, which does not easily roll around, and in addition, wherein the direction of the brush section can be known by a feeling of hand. SOLUTION: In a brush 1, at the tip end of a bar-shape gripping section 10, numerous bristles are bundled and fitted, and the gripping section 10 is formed in a curved form. The brush crush 1 can be placed on a desk under a state wherein the brushing section 11 is upward apart form the surface of the desk. Also, there is no fear for rolling when the brush 1 is placed on a desk or the like, and there is no problem wherein the brush 1 may fall down from the desk. When the brush is held with hand, and the gripping section 10 is rotated by a fingertip, the brush section 11 rotates accurately. Thus, the brush section 11 can be easily moved along the shape of eyebrows or the lip, and a makeup is easy to apply. The gripping section 10 is easy to touch along the face which is a spherical body, and a line along which a cheek rouge is applied, or a line along which an eyebrow or the like is drown are easy to confirm.
