PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure gas bearing device at low cost which has high reliability and high accuracy and which dispenses with a surface finishing processing after formation of an electroless nickel plated coating, and provide a manufacturing method of the dynamic pressure gas bearing device. SOLUTION: In this dynamic pressure gas bearing device, a shaft and a sleeve are constituted of Al-Mg aluminum alloy, any one of an outer peripheral surface of the shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve is formed with a dynamic pressure generating groove, each of the outer peripheral surface of the shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve is formed with the electroless nickel plated coating, and lubricity material is dispersed within the electroless nickel plated coating of at least any one of the outer peripheral surface of the shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve.
