PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn winder capable of preventing the winding of a yarn around a peripheral device of a package even if an end of a cut yarn is separated from the peripheral surface of the package and floated. SOLUTION: In this yarn winder 1 provided with a package extruding device 10 formed of a guide member 9 provided in nearly parallel with a bobbin holder 6 for holding a yarn winding bobbin 5 and an extruding member 8 to be engaged with the guide member 9 for movement, a cover 11 for preventing yarn from being caught is interposed between a package P and the guide member 9 at a position projected in the package P rotating direction at that side of a tangent 17 in the upstream side of the peripheral circle in relation to the package P rotating direction from a contact point 16 of a touch roller 3 and the package P as a starting point among tangents for connecting the periphery P-1 of the package P positioned at an extruding position and the axis 9a-1 of the guide member 9 and provided at a length at least 1/2 of each package P, of which winding end is formed into a pole winding.
