PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester film for laminates excellent in environmental resistance, printability, high design property and emboss processability. SOLUTION: This polyester film comprises a polyester containing ethylene terephthalate unit and/or ethylene naphthalate as a main constituent and contains a coloring agent. In the film, maximum heat shrinkage stress is within the range of 0.01-5.0 Mpa and lightness L* value of film surface, chromaticity (a)* value and chromaticity (b)* value are specified.
