PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate coupling structure assuring easy assembling and disassembling works and also a box of fine appearance incorporation the coupling structure equipped with an enhanced empty box transporting efficiency and capable of reducing the space required for its storage. SOLUTION: Lateral side plates 2 are furnished with first fitting grooves 2b over the whole inner height at their left and right ends, and first projections 1a formed at the ends of adjoining longitudinal side plates 1 are fitted in the grooves 2b so that corners are formed. At the bottoms of the longitudinal side plates 1 and lateral side plates 2, second fitting grooves 1b and 2b to admit fitting of second projections 3a provided on a bottom plate 3 are formed at the level where the bottom plate 3 is installed. Assembly of the box body 10 is made by first joining the side plates 1 and 2 with the bottom plate at its periphery, and then the edge members mating with each other to constitute one internal corner when adjoining side plates 1 and 2 are joined together, are fixed to each other using a channel steel 4 able to be fitted in third fitting grooves (channel fit-in grooves) 1c and 2c.
