PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cardboard cushioning material which is excellent in cushioning capacity and convenient for executing packing works. SOLUTION: With a single sheet of cardboard base used, a plurality of wall members 2 are arranged with an inner plate 3, a top plate 4 and an outer plate 5 successively provided to each of the wall members 2, the inner plates 3 arranged side by side are connected with a tuck-in piece 6, the borders of the top plate 4, the inner plate 3 and the outer plate 5 of each of the wall members 2 are alternately set off at a specified width, the adjoining top plates 4 are severed, while the inner plate 3 and the outer plate 4 are placed face to face with the wall member 2 turned up, the top plates 4 are inclined alternately in the opposite direction, and the wall members 2 arranged side by side are bent each other with the tuck-in pieces 6 tucked in. The wall members 2, being bent and connected with each other, are kept in a shape by the top plates 4 inclined alternately in the opposite direction, and since the surfaces of an article to be packed are protected by the wall members 2, the article to be packed is protected certainly with simple works of packing.
