PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of facilitating the removal of water drops, hardly allowing a smell to cling, hardly causing corrosion and excellent in guiding properties of a fishline. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is characterized by synthetic resin films formed on both inner and outer surfaces of a rod tube formed by winding a prepreg obtained by impregnating a reinforcing fiber with a synthetic resin, and having water repellency, and the water repellency at least of the inner surface of the rod tube, regulated so as to be the extreme water repellency having >=130 deg. contact angle with water.
