PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a medicine in order to correct disadvantages of an established therapy for sepsis and adult respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS). SOLUTION: A therapeutic and a prophylactic methods for the sepsis and ARDS using a certain kind of chemokine or its biologically active fragment alone or in combination with an anti-infective agent or a hematopoietic cell maturation agent are obtained.
