PURPOSE: A sealing device of a scroll compressor is provided to prevent gas from leaking from the gap between laps and flat plates of a swiveling scroll and a fixed scroll. CONSTITUTION: Magnet members(21,22), having repulsive force, are inserted into the lower surface of a swiveling scroll(1) and the upper surface of a main frame(7). The repulsive force acts as the force pressurizing the swiveling scroll toward the fixed scroll side against gas pressure and therefore, axial gas leak is prevented. The magnet member is an electromagnet or a permanent magnet. The magnet member is an annular shape.
