PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of obtaining two-dimensional continuous wave Doppler by changing a scanning line in real time in an ultrasonograph capable of varying the ultrasonic scanning line direction in continuous wave transmission/reception. SOLUTION: An FFT data storage memory 9 stores data from an FFT circuit 7 in the plural scanning line directions. The scanning line direction is switched in real time, and is controlled by a CPU circuit 8. In a CW period, continuous wave transmission/reception data is sampled in a prescribed sample period to perform an FFT alaysis. In a PW period, transmission/reception for a monochromatic tomographic image is performed. An image of CW of a wide range can be picked up by skipping a scanning line of the CW. The image of the CW in a two-dimensional surface can be picked up by setting ROI for picking up the image of the CW.
