PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining method and a fixing device used therefor capable of preventing floating or deformation of a cylindrical body consisting of a flexible material constituting the lining body during the work of backfilling in a lining method for cavity structural body such as an existing pipe, tunnel or the like to which a shield such as segment is not applied. SOLUTION: When additionally connecting a plurality of cylindrical bodies 11 consisting of a flexible material with a short cylindrical outer surface shape slightly smaller than a cavity inner shape of a cavity structural body in the axis direction of the cylindrical body 11, a cylindrical body 11 is additionally connected while connecting the cylindrical body 11 to a fixing device 12 fixed at least to a lower bottom portion of the cavity inner wall of the cavity structure at the joint position of the neighboring cylindrical body 11, the cylindrical body 11 is additionally connected to a desired length, and then backfilling is applied to the gap between the cavity inner wall and the exterior wall of the cylindrical body 11.
