PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing porous resin fine particles, having wide design ranges of particle diameter and pore diameter, capable of readily introducing various functional groups, efficiently producing porous resin fine particles having excellent characteristics such as strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance, etc., by a simple particle diameter control method. SOLUTION: This method for producing the resin fine particles having a porous structure is characterized by the irradiation of a polymerization solution which is a uniform polymerization solution obtained by formulating (1) a polymerizable compound (A) polymerizable by irradiation with active rays with (2) a non-solvent (C) compatible with the polymerizable compound (A) but neither swelling nor dissolving a polymer (B) formed from the polymerizable composition (A) and contains the non-solvent (C) in an amount to make the polymer (B) in a dispersed state or an emulsified state in the reaction system with the active rays. The resin particles are composed of the polymer (B).
