PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably inexpensively produce hydrogen peroxide by an electrolytic method. SOLUTION: A Na2SO4-containing solution is supplied to an anode chamber 3 of an electrolytic cell 1 and water is supplied to a cathode chamber 4. An effluent from each chamber after the electrolysis is passed through the pass chambers 9, 10 of a dialyzer 8 defined by a cation exchange membrane 11 to permeate Na or the like in a cathode effluent to an anode effluent. A hydrogen peroxide-containing solution low in Na content in taken out from the chamber 10. The effluent from the chamber 9 is neutralized in a neutralizing vessel 12 by adding NaOH to be returned to the anode chamber 3 by a pump 17.
