Confectionery blocks (4) are arranged in rows and columns on top of an inlay (2), the blocks having a shape that enables them to rest on top of the inlay in a stable manner in at least two configurations. In one configuration the visible top sides of the blocks are all identical, whilst in a second configuration there is a contrast between the visible top sides of some of the blocks, in order to show a letter of the alphabet.
