PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating apparatus for the environmentally hazardous materials in waste water which is capable of efficiently removing hardly decomposable org. materials which are hazardous materials, such as trace dioxins and environmental hormones, contained in the waste water. SOLUTION: This treating device includes a mixing tank (9) which decomposes the environmentally hazardous materials by bringing the water to be treated which contains the environmentally hazardous materials into contact with an organic metallic compound, a flocculating device (1) which obtains flocculated water by subjecting the water to be treated to a flocculating treatment, a solid-liquid separator (3) which separates the flocculated water to the water subjected to be separation of the solid from the liquid contg. hardly decomposable org. materials and soluble materials and suspendable materials by subjecting the flocculated water to the separation of the solid from the liquid and a biological treating device (4) which obtains the biologically treated water by lowering the concentration of the hardly decomposable materials in the water subjected to the separation of the solid from the liquid and converting part of the soluble materials to the suspendable materials. |
