摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monomer composition for optical material to obtain a synthetic resin lens high in refractive index, Abbe number, having a low specific gravity, excellent in various properties such as dye-affinity, heat resistance, impact resistance, etc., and a method of manufacturing a uniform synthetic resin lens excellent in mold release low in distortion and a synthetic resin lens. SOLUTION: This monomer composition for optical material includes 5-50 wt.% of a di(meth)acrylate expressed by general formula (1) (R1 is H or methyl, Ph is a phenylene, x and z are each same or different integer of 1-5, y is 0 or 1), 5-40 wt.% of divinylbenzene or divinylbiphenyl, 10-50 wt.% of 3- isopropenyl-α,α-dimethylbenzylisocyanate, 10-40 wt.% of a polythiol and 0.01-5 wt.% of anα-methylstyrene dimer, and the invention includes the synthetic resin lens and it's manufacturing method.
