PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous-type quick freezer for foods which can shorten freezing treatment time, streamline freezing operation and improve the economical efficiency of equipment installation area, and can also keep up with the kind and size of a freezing object, fluctuation in freezing environmental conditions and an outside air temperature change throughout a year. SOLUTION: In a food freezer of cold circulation type, the freezer has the following configuration: the space within a thermally insulated tunnel is divided by partitions (2) along a conveying direction into a freezing chamber (1) through which the freezing object (a) passes, a cold blast supply chamber (3) for distributing cold air to the chamber (1) and a cold air feedback chamber (8) for returning discharged cold air used for freezing to a heat exchanger (7) for cold air. Both injection slits (61) of an upper side chamber (6a) and a lower side chamber (6b) are installed in order to confront each other respectively above and below the way to the turning point of a conveyor belt (4) going through the chamber (1) and having air permeability. The slits are opened in the cross direction of the conveyor belt (4) in such a way as to have a funnel-like cross section and be in a form of an injection nozzle. Cold air from the heat exchanger (7) is made to pass through the chamber (3), is injected from the slits (61) and then is returned from the feedback chamber (8) to the heat exchanger (7).
