PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for developing an object, e.g. an image, a line, a rectangle or a character, into image data at a high rate. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises means for generating an object, e.g. a figure or a character, on a host computer, a transmitting means of a control code for displaying the object at a host output resolution to a printer, means for receiving the control code on the printer, an object developing means for generating first image data having the host output resolution based on the control code, a memory for temporarily storing the first developed image data, and an output resolution converting means for converting first image data having the host output resolution outputted from the memory into second image data having a printer output resolution.
