The invention relates to a sensor for detecting the relative movement of two systems that functions according to the principle of electromagnetic induction. A coil system (25) is displaced in the magnetic field of a permanent magnet system (23, 12) by the relative movement to be detected. The coil system is displaced in two areas of a magnetic interference field in which the fields produced by the permanent magnet are reversely polarized, thereby preventing the effects of said interfering magnetic field that might influence the measurement. The inventive method allows an additive detection of displacement-induced signals from both areas, while noise-field induced signals off-set one other. |
