PURPOSE: A method for providing an image advertisement by using a video phone is provided to maximize the effect of advertisement by always showing the advertisement in an initial screen of the video phone. CONSTITUTION: A program to show an advertisement in an initial screen is downloaded and installed. N number of advertisement files are downloaded from a home-page provided from a server computer(40) of an advertising agency and stored in a memory. The advertisement provided from the advertising agency are always displayed in the initial screen of a video phone(10). If a user uses the video phone(10), the advertisements stored in the memory are showed in the initial screen successively. The program is automatically connected with the Internet home-page for sending a code of the user and the frequency data stored in the memory. The server computer(40) of the advertising agency downloads new advertisements to the video phone.
