PURPOSE: A metal mold manufacturing method using silicon rubber improves the size precision of a formed good. CONSTITUTION: At first, a master model(12) of goods to be formed and a jig having the surface form of the goods are made. The master model(12) is put on the jig. A lower pad is layered on the master model(12). A rod for casting is inserted into the lower pad. A lower frame(22) is made by pouring backing material on the lower pad. The lower pad and the rod for casting is removed. Then, a lower metal mold(26) is made by pouring a silicon rubber into the space where the lower pad has been removed. The jig is removed from the lower metal mold(26). An upper pad is layered on the space where the jig has been removed. The rod is inserted in the upper pad. An upper frame(34) is made by pouring backing material on the upper pad. Then, the upper pad and the rod for casting are removed. An upper metal mold(36) is made by pouring silicon rubber into the space where the upper pad is removed.
