PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recording and controlling the information broadcasting messages of switching systems is provided to record a comparatively long voice information message without muted tones. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for recording and controlling the information broadcasting messages of switching systems is composed of a PCM file generation unit(20), a network management center(24), internet(25) and a plurality of switching systems(26). The PCM file generation unit(20) is connected to the network management center(24) that manages a network to which the switching systems(26) are physically connected through the Internet(25). Each switching system(26) comprises an OMP(Operation and Maintenance P)(28), a hard disk(30), a PP(Peripheral Processor)(32) and a recording information unit(34). The OMP(28) covers the operation and maintenance of the system. The hard disk(30) stores the shape information of the system and other necessary information. The PP(32) connected to the OMP(28) receives a PCM audio file and its associated control signals from the OMP(28) and outputs them. The recording information unit(34) stores the PCM audio file transferred from the PP(32) in its internal NVRAM(Non-Volatile RAM). Also the recording information unit(34) stores configuration information for the stored PCM audio file.
