PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for outdoor advertising are provided which moving picture is reproduced or commercial advertisement is performed using a beam projector or a screen on which spherical glass beads are coated. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for outdoor advertising using a beam projector comprises a retroreflective screen (2) coated with a plurality of glass beads and disposed adjacent to a road so that it can be seen from the road; a beam projector (1) oppositely displaced with spaced apart from the retroreflective screen (2) in a certain distance for splitting a coherent light beam (14) toward the retroreflective screen (2); a beam deflection system (11) disposed between the beam projector (1) and the retroreflective screen (2) for making discernable marks (13) on the retroreflective screen (2) by applying the coherent light beam (14); and a reproducing apparatus (20) connected to the beam projector (1). The method for outdoor advertising using a beam projector comprises a step in which an image is sent to the beam projector by the reproducing apparatus; a step in which the image received by the reproducing apparatus is projected on the retroreflective screen through the beam deflection system by the beam projector; and a step in which a certain shape of marked part is indicated on the retroreflective screen by dispersing the projected image.
