PURPOSE: A secondary intake system is provided to maximize the intake amount of gas mixture by additionally supplying compressed air in the end of a suction stroke with a secondary suction port mounted at a side of a main suction port, thereby achieving an optimum performance without torque valley with an optimum volume efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A secondary intake system includes a main suction port(102) mounted at a side of a cylinder head for introducing gas mixture into a combustion chamber(101), a secondary suction port(111) mounted at a side of the suction port to be communicated with the main suction port for introducing compressed air, a secondary suction valve(112) for opening and closing the secondary suction port, a cam shaft(120) mounted at a side of the cylinder head and having driving cams(104,113,133) for opening and closing the secondary suction valve, and a compressed air supplying element connected to the secondary suction port for supplying the compressed air to the secondary suction port.
