<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene removing device by its decomposition which decomposes and removes the ethylene generated from fruits and vegetables, or the like. SOLUTION: This ethylene removing device by its decomposition consists of an ethylene oxidation chamber 2, an ozone decomposing catalyst packed bed 4, a suction type fan 5 and an oxygen generator 7 and is so formed as to introduce the ethylene-containing air generated from the fruits and vegetables, or the like, by the fan 5 and discharges the air outside through the ozone decomposing catalyst packed bed 4. Ozonization lamps 3 which oxidize and crack the introduced ethylene in the air by ozone are mounted within the ethylene oxidation chamber 2 so that the oxygen supplied from the oxygen generator 7 is incorporated into the ethylene-containing air to be introduced into the device.</p> |
