PURPOSE: A self-release surge protector for protecting a telephone subscriber is provided to handle trimly a distribution by inserting wires into the space for drawing out wires. CONSTITUTION: The first plate(14a) is installed on one end of a supporting bar(12). The second plate(14b) is installed on the other end of the supporting bar(12) in order to be isolated from the first plate(14a). A terminal block(20) is located between the first plate(14a) and the second plate(14b) and is installed to put upon the supporting bar(12). The terminal block(20) has the space for drawing out wires(90) where wires can be trimly inserted, which connect the terminal blocks(20) between planes engaged with each other.
