PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of heat exchanger prevents the leakage of the joining portion of a pipe plate and a heat exchanging pipe and extends the life of the joining portion. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of heat exchanger forms a groove(120) around a hole(12) formed on a pipe plate(2). The end of a heat exchanging pipe(6) is enlarged and plastically deformed after being inserted into the hole(12). Thus, a protrusion(16) is formed on the corresponding portions to the groove(120) at the outer surface of the end of the heat exchanging pipe(6) and inserted in the groove(120). Thus, by the insertion of the pipe(6) into the groove(120), a joining rigidity is increased, thereby restraining the longitudinal movement of the heat exchanging pipe(6).
