PURPOSE: A digital link state management method of an exchange system and a device thereof are provided to manage a link alarm well by using a dual port memory. CONSTITUTION: A first port of a dual port RAM(16) is connected to a link control processor(12), and a second of the dual port RAM(16) is connected to a management processor(10). At this time, the link control processor(12) does not generate a pertinent alarm message on the occasion of a generation of a link alarm by a link board(14), and performs a set/reset a bit corresponding to the pertinent link alarm among an area of a link word set previously in an inside buffer area, and writes the link word at the dual port RAM(16). The management processor(10) reads the link word written at the dual port RAM(16) every set cycle, and checks a change state of the link alarm by comparing a previous information, and reports a change to a precedence processor.
